World Book Day has been celebrated in style! On 3rd March, we all enjoyed our book inspired cake sale, with Apple and Rain cake, Gruffalo cupcakes, and a starry eyed John Green cake. Pupils and staff could attend our Book Surgery, where they could share their reading dilemmas and be given a remedy in the form of a prescription to take to the library with a reading recommendation. Pupils from Year 7 right up to year 13 shared ideas for great reads, and particularly enjoyed giving an English teacher a prescription for FIVE books that she hadn't read!

Years 7 - 11 could participate in BOOKIEMOJIE by writing a short story or book review or synopsis in Emojies. There were some great entries, but we especially like this one. Lovely huffing and puffing!
